How to Claim Your $600 to $1,500 Check from $6.5 Million Medication Settlement

Consumers who received telemarketing calls from online pharmacy PillPack may be eligible to receive up to $1,500 in a class action settlement. The company, owned by Amazon, has agreed to pay $6.5 million to resolve claims that it violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by making unsolicited telemarketing calls.

While PillPack denies any wrongdoing and asserts that it complied with the law, it has agreed to settle the lawsuit without admitting fault.

Who is Eligible?

Individuals who received a prerecorded telemarketing call from PillPack, followed by a transfer to one of its call centers, between March 13, 2018, and June 16, 2019, are eligible for compensation.

Depending on the number of claims filed, settlement payments could range from $600 to $1,500 per eligible claimant.

How to File a Claim

To claim a portion of the settlement, affected consumers must complete an official claim form. Those who received a claim ID should use it when submitting their claim, but it is not required to fill out the form.

To file:

  • Provide the cell phone number you used between March 2018 and June 2019.
  • Submit your claim either online or by printing the form and mailing it back to the court.

The final deadline for submitting claims is January 20, 2025.

  • If you wish to exclude yourself from the settlement, your request must also be submitted by January 20, 2025.
  • A final approval hearing will take place on April 18, 2025, where the exact amount of the payout will be determined, factoring in legal fees and expenses.

Additional Deadlines

The January 20 deadline also applies to other class actions. For instance, there is a class action lawsuit against Lansing Community College related to a data breach that potentially exposed personal information. The college has agreed to settle for $1.45 million.

Additionally, Forward Bank has settled for $1.185 million after a data breach. Bank customers have until January 8, 2025, to submit their claims in this case.

If you were affected by these events, be sure to file your claim before the respective deadlines to secure your share of the settlements .
