In the aftermath of the devastating Palisades and Eaton fires, Los Angeles has witnessed an inspiring wave of solidarity. While individuals have stepped forward with clothing, food, and essential donations, corporations like Amazon have also taken swift action to support those affected by the fires.
In partnership with ABC7 Los Angeles, Amazon has launched a campaign to provide care package kits containing essential items, such as travel-sized toiletries, soap, deodorant, and mouthwash. These packages are being distributed to agencies supporting evacuees and first responders, providing much-needed relief in the wake of the disaster.

David Ambroz, Amazon’s head of community engagement and public policy, shared that the company is contributing $10 million in resources to assist with recovery efforts. This commitment includes partnerships with both local and national organizations like the American Red Cross of Southern California, the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, the Los Angeles Wildfire Fund, and the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Recovery Fund.
Amazon’s role in disaster relief is not new. Prior to these fires, the company had already established a Wildfire Relief Hub designed to provide critical supplies in times of crisis. This hub focuses on four key areas: firefighting equipment, essential supplies, technology, and support for affected individuals.
So far, Amazon has donated over 415,000 essential items to 19 local organizations, including fire stations, the Los Angeles Unified School District, the Dream Center, and several YMCA chapters.
