Oscars 2025: Full List of Academy Awards Nominees Revealed

The long-awaited announcement of the 97th Academy Award nominations finally took place Thursday morning, following multiple delays caused by the recent fires in the Los Angeles area. Comedians Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang hosted the live event, revealing the nominees across 23 categories from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California.

Leading the nominations is Emilia Pérez, which garnered 13 nods, setting a new record for the most nominations for a non-English language film. The previous record was held by Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) and Roma (2018), both with 10 nominations. The Brutalist and Wicked also performed strongly, each securing 10 nominations. In a groundbreaking moment, Emilia Pérez‘s lead actress, Karla Sofía Gascón, made history as the first openly trans actor to receive an Oscar nomination.

The 97th Academy Awards, hosted by Conan O’Brien for the first time, will air live on ABC from the Dolby Theatre in Ovation Hollywood on Sunday, March 2. The star-studded event is sure to be a highlight of the award season.
