A teenager was shot late Friday night in the Central-Alameda neighborhood of South Los Angeles, and authorities are investigating the incident.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to a call about a shooting at around 10:19 p.m. in the 1200 block of East 50th Street. When officers arrived, they found a 16-year-old male who had been shot in the abdomen.

Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department rushed the teen to a nearby hospital, though his current condition remains unclear.
