A woman was fatally stabbed early Sunday morning in a downtown Los Angeles alley, following what police suspect was an altercation. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to a call around 1 a.m. reporting a stabbing in the 1100 block of Los Angeles Street, where a victim was found lying in an alley behind a building.

Upon arriving at the scene, LAPD officers discovered a 20-year-old Hispanic woman unresponsive and not breathing, with multiple stab wounds. Despite efforts from paramedics, the Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced her dead at the scene.
At the time of the incident, a party was taking place in the area. No information about a potential suspect has been released as of now, and the investigation is ongoing.
