A tragic crash in northern Los Angeles County on Saturday morning resulted in the death of a 6-year-old girl. The collision occurred around 11 a.m. at the intersection of Pearblossom Highway and 25th Street East in Palmdale, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD).
Authorities say the incident unfolded when the driver of a 2022 Subaru Outback ran a red light while attempting to turn north onto Barrel Springs Road. As the Subaru entered the intersection, it collided with a 2014 Toyota Camry that was traveling east on Pearblossom Highway, which had a green light at the time.

The young girl, who was a passenger in the Camry, was rushed to a nearby hospital but tragically did not survive her injuries. Her identity has not been made public. The driver of the Subaru, a 55-year-old woman, was unharmed, but her condition has not been revealed.
Other individuals involved in the crash sustained injuries, varying in severity from minor to serious, though the exact number of victims remains unclear. The investigation is ongoing, and deputies are seeking information from anyone who witnessed the crash or has additional details.
