Starting this Monday, Starbucks is rolling out a mix of new and returning policies designed to improve the in-store experience for customers in the United States and Canada.
One of the major changes includes the introduction of free refills for customers who order a “for here” beverage. Patrons will now be able to enjoy unlimited refills of hot or iced coffee or hot or iced tea during their visit. The refills will be served in a mug, glass, or personal cup brought from home. However, certain drinks like Cold Brew, Nitro Cold Brew, Iced Tea Lemonade, flavored Iced Tea, and Starbucks Refreshers are excluded from the refill offer. Additionally, to-go orders do not qualify for free refills.

Starbucks is also reinstating its popular condiment bar, stocked with a variety of creamers, milks, and sweeteners, for customers to customize their drinks to their liking.
In addition to these changes, the coffee giant has introduced a “Coffeehouse Code of Conduct“ to maintain a comfortable atmosphere for all. This new policy prohibits activities such as panhandling, outside alcohol consumption, and drug use, including vaping, within the cafe.
These updates come as part of CEO Brian Niccol’s initiative to bring back the sense of community and familiar atmosphere Starbucks used to have in its cafes.
