A 33-year-old North Hollywood man, Ryan Antonio Gomez Cifuentes, has voluntarily surrendered to authorities in connection with a tragic hit-and-run incident that left a 26-year-old woman dead.
The incident occurred on January 24 at approximately 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of Victory Boulevard and Troost Avenue in North Hollywood, as reported by the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to authorities, the victim, who was described as a 26-year-old Hispanic woman, was crossing Victory Boulevard when she was first struck by a sedan heading westbound. The initial collision caused the woman to fall to the ground, and as she was attempting to recover, a second vehicle—driven by Cifuentes—hit her again. The 2003 Toyota 4Runner struck the victim a second time, causing fatal injuries.
Neither driver stopped to render assistance or provide any form of identification at the scene.
