Three Foreign Nationals Arrested in Glendale Home Burglary

Authorities have arrested three individuals in connection with a Glendale home burglary that resulted in the theft of high-end jewelry, designer bags, and cash.

The suspects, identified as Jose Basaure Aviles, 20, Mia Sanchez Martinez, 25, and Luis Gomez Gomez, 25, were taken into custody after a police investigation linked them to the crime. Glendale police noted that all three are “foreign nationals.”

The incident unfolded on Jan. 23, when officers responded to a reported burglary at a residence on the 1500 block of Parway Drive. As the investigation was underway, Burbank police officers patrolling a nearby area spotted a suspicious vehicle with a fake temporary license plate.

Upon stopping the vehicle, officers discovered a trove of stolen goods inside, including luxury handbags, jewelry, cash, athletic wear, multiple cellphones, masks, gloves, and additional license plates that didn’t match the vehicle. A backpack containing possible burglary tools was also recovered.

A Burbank police officer monitoring Glendale police radio transmissions made the connection between the stolen items and the earlier burglary report. After coordinating with Glendale police, officers confirmed that the items inside the vehicle had been stolen from the Glendale home.

Photos of the recovered items show high-end brands such as Louis Vuitton and Goyard, along with jewelry and other valuables.

Following their arrest, the three suspects were formally charged with burglary by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Authorities credited the swift collaboration between Glendale and Burbank police for the arrests, emphasizing the importance of inter-agency partnerships in protecting local communities.
