ALDI, the nation’s fastest-growing grocery chain, is set to make history with its most significant expansion yet, adding more than 225 new stores across the U.S. in 2025. This marks the largest single-year growth in the company’s nearly five decades in the country.
With a focus on affordability, ALDI aims to bring its budget-friendly grocery options to even more communities, offering shoppers savings of up to 36% per trip.

A major part of this expansion includes the transformation of approximately 220 Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarket locations across the Southeast by 2027. Additionally, ALDI is growing its presence in the Northeast and Midwest while strengthening its foothold in Southern California and Arizona. A milestone for the retailer, this expansion will also see ALDI enter Las Vegas for the first time.
The first wave of converted stores has already begun reopening, with around 100 locations expected to transition to ALDI stores by the end of 2025.
