Los Angeles police are searching for a woman suspected of shooting and injuring a man in a gang-related incident in the Westlake District early Saturday morning.
According to the LAPD Rampart Division, officers responded to a shots fired report near Fifth Street and Westlake Boulevard at approximately 1:43 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered that a 45-year-old man had been shot multiple times while seeking shelter in a nearby building.

The victim was transported to a local hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel and is currently in stable condition, authorities said.
The suspect fled the scene and remains at large. No description of the shooter has been released.
