A mansion party in Woodland Hills turned deadly early Sunday morning when gunfire erupted, leaving a 16-year-old dead and five others injured.
The Los Angeles Police Department responded to multiple reports of a shooting around 1:30 a.m. at a residence on the 5900 block of Winnetka Avenue. Officials estimate that between 200 and 300 people were attending the event when an argument escalated into violence.
According to LAPD Lt. Guy Golan, the suspect was being escorted out of the mansion after a dispute when he suddenly opened fire on the crowd outside. The teenage victim was fatally shot and pronounced dead at the scene.
Five other individuals, all Hispanic men, suffered gunshot wounds. The victims include a 19-year-old, a 21-year-old, a 25-year-old, and two men aged 34. They were transported to a local hospital and are reported to be in stable condition.

Video footage captured the chaotic aftermath, with panicked partygoers fleeing the residence and gathering on the street. One person was seen receiving medical attention in an ambulance.
The luxury home, situated on a hillside between Hatteras and Oxnard streets, is frequently rented out for parties and events. While it has received occasional police calls in the past, Lt. Golan stated it is not considered a “problem location.” The event was described as a “flyer party,” which typically attracts a large, open-invitation crowd.
The mansion is listed on Booking.com as “New Construction-LA Mega Mansion” and rents for $2,100 per night.
As of Sunday morning, detectives continued to process the crime scene. Authorities are urging anyone who attended the party or has information about the shooting to contact the Los Angeles Police Department.
