Los Angeles police are searching for the driver of a black Ford F-150 who struck a 60-year-old pedestrian and then fled the scene, leaving the victim in critical condition on Tuesday morning.
The hit-and-run occurred around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Reseda Boulevard and Clark Street in Tarzana, according to a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department.
Incident Caught on Video
Surveillance footage shows the pickup truck making a left turn onto Clark Street, where it hit the pedestrian as he walked in a marked crosswalk. Several bystanders immediately rushed to assist the victim.
Authorities say the driver initially stopped, got out of his vehicle, and approached the injured man but then returned to his truck and drove away without providing aid or identifying himself, a violation of California law.

Victim in Critical Condition
Emergency responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene and transported the victim to a hospital, where he remains in critical condition. His name has not been released as authorities work to notify his family.
Suspect Description & Reward
The driver is described as a man wearing a baseball cap, a blue jacket, and dark-colored pants.
A $25,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the suspect’s arrest and conviction.
