California Homicide Suspect Arrested in Bay County, Florida

A fugitive wanted in California for a parole violation connected to a 2014 homicide was apprehended in Callaway on December 19, according to Bay County Sheriff Tommy Ford.

Jamie Updegraff, 39, was taken into custody without incident after an investigation by the Bay County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO). The arrest unfolded when a BCSO investigator, working a separate case at a Callaway residence, identified Updegraff as a potential fugitive. Authorities later confirmed an active warrant for her arrest issued in San Bernardino, California, tied to the homicide.
