Final Days to Claim Up to $400 from $2M Appliance Settlement – Receipt Required

Consumers who purchased select Bosch home appliances may be eligible for compensation as part of a $2 million class action settlement. The lawsuit alleges that certain Bosch microwaves and ovens were equipped with defective control panels, leading to issues such as dimming, fading, or complete failure of the display.

The lawsuit targeted Bosch Home Appliances, a subsidiary of BSH Hausgeräte GmbH, a German manufacturer of kitchen and home appliances. While the company denies any wrongdoing, it has agreed to a settlement to resolve the claims.

Who Qualifies for the Settlement?

Individuals who purchased or received specific Bosch microwaves or ovens may be eligible to file a claim. Those who acquired the appliances through a home purchase or renovation are also included. The affected models are:

  • HBL5751UC
  • HBL8751UC
  • HBLP751UC
  • HMC80151UC
  • HMC80251UC
  • HMC87151UC

Settlement Benefits

Qualified consumers can receive compensation under one of three tiers:

  • Tier 1(a): A $400 reimbursement for those who provide proof of out-of-pocket expenses related to past panel failures.
  • Tier 2: A three-year extended service plan where Bosch will replace faulty control panels at no cost.

To claim benefits, applicants must submit a valid claim form and provide supporting documentation, such as a receipt, warranty registration, repair records, or photographs of the appliance.

Deadline to File a Claim

Consumers seeking Tier 1(b) or Tier 2 benefits must submit their claims by February 12, 2025.
