Last Chance: Claim Your Part of $1.025M Banking Settlement with No Proof Required

Thousands of Americans may be entitled to a share of a $1.025 million settlement following a class action lawsuit against mortgage lender LoanDepot. The lawsuit, filed in San Francisco, accuses the company of violating the Federal Electronic Funds Transfer Act by withdrawing funds from customer bank accounts without proper written authorization.

Who is Eligible?

The settlement applies to LoanDepot customers who had their accounts debited on a recurring basis between September 21, 2021, and October 6, 2023, but were not provided a copy of the authorization for preauthorized electronic transfers.

Those affected will receive a one-time payout via check, with compensation amounts varying based on how frequently their accounts were debited.

How to File a Claim

Eligible class members must submit a valid claim form by March 3, 2025 to receive payment. Claims can be filed through the settlement website.

A final approval hearing is set for April 21, 2025, after which settlement payments will be distributed.

Other Settlements You May Qualify For

Beyond the LoanDepot case, several other class action settlements are offering payouts:

  • Mulkay Cardiology Data Breach – Victims of a New Jersey medical data breach may be eligible for payments of up to $5,000. The breach, which exposed nearly 80,000 patient records, led to legal action against Mulkay Cardiology Consultants for failing to protect sensitive information.

  • Apple Watch Settlement – Apple users who purchased certain Apple Watch models could qualify for a share of a $20 million settlement. Affected customers do not need to show proof of purchase to receive compensation. The lawsuit alleges that certain models suffered from defects leading to costly repairs.

If you believe you are eligible for any of these settlements, be sure to file your claim before the deadlines pass to secure your compensation.
