Amid ongoing rainstorms across Southern California, an SUV was swept into a wash in North Hills, Los Angeles, on Thursday afternoon.
The vehicle, resembling a Kia Soul or a similar model, ended up partially submerged in fast-moving water near Parthenia Street and Noble Avenue around 12:40 p.m., according to a Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) alert.

Images from the scene showed the SUV tilted on its side, wedged near the entrance of a culvert, with water reaching just below its window level.
By 1:30 p.m., authorities had not yet confirmed whether anyone was inside the vehicle or if a rescue operation was underway.
