Apple enthusiasts in Detroit are in for a treat as the tech giant is set to open its first store in the iconic American city. While an official address and opening date have yet to be confirmed, anticipation has been building, with Apple listing the location on its website as “coming soon.”

According to The Detroit News, Apple Downtown Detroit will be the latest addition to the company’s growing list of Michigan locations. The site mentions that the company is already hiring for the new store, signaling that the opening is imminent. Job listings for the location are available on Apple’s careers page.

Currently, Michigan hosts six Apple Stores in cities such as Ann Arbor, Clinton Township, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Novi, and Troy. Detroit will soon join this list, marking the tech company’s expansion into a city that’s seen a resurgence in recent years.

Speculation on Store Location and Potential Involvement of Dan Gilbert

Gilbert shared with the Detroit Free Press in November 2023 that they were “close” to finalizing the deal, though he cautioned that it wasn’t official yet.
