Starbucks is making big changes to its menu, cutting 13 lesser-ordered drinks as part of a larger effort to enhance efficiency and service. The company confirmed that these beverages will be phased out starting March 4.

A Shift in Strategy
The decision to trim the menu aligns with a broader operational shift under Starbucks’ new CEO, Brian Niccol, who took over last fall. In a letter to employees, Niccol revealed that the company is also cutting 1,100 corporate jobs globally to streamline operations and boost efficiency.
Niccol aims to improve speed of service, especially during peak hours, and reinforce Starbucks’ role as a welcoming community space. The changes come as the company works to reverse a 2% decline in sales during its 2024 fiscal year.
While some fans may be disappointed by the menu reductions, Starbucks insists that the focus on fewer, high-demand drinks will lead to a better overall experience .
