Time Running Out! Last Chance to Claim Up to $5K from $1.74M Settlement

Thousands of Californians may be entitled to a cash payment of up to $5,000, but time is running out to file a claim.

A $1.74 million class action settlement has been reached with Consumer Safety Technology LLC (Intoxalock) after allegations that the company recorded phone calls without consent.

Allegations and Settlement Details

The lawsuit accused Intoxalock of violating California’s Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA) by allegedly recording customer calls without informing them or obtaining explicit consent.

While the company denies any wrongdoing, it agreed to resolve the case through a settlement, allowing affected individuals to claim a portion of the funds.

Who Is Eligible to Receive a Payment?

To qualify for a payout, you must meet these conditions:

✔️ Have a California phone number
✔️ Spoke with an Intoxalock sales representative on a recorded call between May 18, 2021, and February 8, 2022

The deadline to submit a claim is February 18, 2025. The final approval hearing for the settlement is set for March 12, 2025.

Although eligible claimants could receive up to $5,000, the final payout will depend on the number of claims submitted.
