A chaotic police pursuit in Upland ended with a suspect crashing a stolen truck into multiple vehicles before attempting to flee on foot—only to be tackled and arrested by officers.

High-Speed Pursuit Turns Dangerous

The incident unfolded on Feb. 23 when Upland police were alerted to a stolen Ford F-150 entering city limits. Officers quickly located the vehicle near Mountain Avenue and Arrow Highway and attempted a traffic stop. However, the driver refused to comply, triggering a high-speed chase through city streets.

Aerial footage captured the suspect weaving recklessly through traffic, ignoring signals, and ultimately running a red light—resulting in a violent collision with multiple other vehicles.

Desperate Escape Attempt

Following the crash, the suspect abandoned the damaged truck in a Jiffy Lube parking lot and took off on foot. He was seen scaling fences and attempting to hide within a nearby business. However, police officers closed in, cornering him before taking him down in a dramatic tackle.

Injuries and Charges

The victims involved in the crash sustained injuries and were transported to local hospitals for medical treatment. Their current conditions remain undisclosed.

The suspect was arrested on multiple felony charges, including felony evading causing injury. He is currently being held on a $1 million bond.

While authorities released a blurred image of the suspect, his identity has not been disclosed as the investigation continues.
