Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Wrong-Way Hit-and-Run Crash with Minibikers

A motorcyclist suffered severe injuries in Antelope Valley after being struck by two minibike riders who were traveling in the wrong direction and later fled the scene.

Reports of Reckless Riding Across the Region

On February 23, around midday, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) began receiving multiple complaints about illegal minibike and off-road vehicle riders engaging in dangerous behavior. Authorities reported that these riders were speeding, violating traffic laws, and creating hazards for other motorists throughout the Antelope Valley area.

Despite efforts to intervene, officers were unable to stop the reckless riders, who repeatedly evaded law enforcement.

Hit-and-Run Incident Leaves Motorcyclist Injured

Later that afternoon, at approximately 3:35 p.m., CHP officers were dispatched to a crash on Elizabeth Lake Road near San Francisquito Canyon Road.

Investigators determined that two minibike riders were traveling on the wrong side of the road when they collided with a Harley-Davidson motorcyclist. The impact left the motorcyclist with major injuries, while the minibike riders fled the scene without rendering aid.

Authorities Seek Public Assistance

Law enforcement officials are actively searching for the suspects involved in the hit-and-run and are asking for any witnesses to come forward.

“This kind of reckless behavior puts innocent people at risk and will not be tolerated,” said Captain Zagorski, Commander of CHP Antelope Valley. “We are committed to finding those responsible and ensuring accountability.”
