BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A court hearing for two alleged members of the Vagos motorcycle gang, who are facing a series of criminal charges related to drugs and firearms, has been rescheduled for next week, according to court records.
Robert Allen Klein, 56, and James Melville Rogers Jr., 50, were initially set for a preliminary hearing on Tuesday, but it has now been pushed to March 5.
Klein is charged with drug possession, illegal firearm possession, reckless evasion, and gang-related offenses, while Rogers faces charges of possessing stolen property, unlawfully having ammunition, and gang participation. Both men have entered not guilty pleas.

The charges stem from a Feb. 13 law enforcement search at a residence on the 9000 block of 60th Street West in Mojave. Deputies discovered 44 grams of methamphetamine, a loaded firearm, and a vest linked to the Vagos motorcycle gang, authorities said.
Rogers is also facing separate charges from a 2023 case involving possession of a stolen vehicle, illegal firearm possession as a felon, and resisting law enforcement, court records indicate.
The case remains under investigation as authorities continue their crackdown on gang-related crime in the area .
