Long Beach ,California (Thechieftainspear) – An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting in Long Beach that took place two weeks ago, authorities announced Friday.
The suspect, identified as John Paul McIntyre III, was taken into custody at a residence in Los Angeles, according to the Long Beach Police Department. McIntyre, a Long Beach resident, is facing a murder charge and is currently being held at Long Beach City Jail on $3 million bail.

The shooting occurred on Feb. 16 in the 1700 block of Long Beach Boulevard, where 32-year-old Edgar Ortiz-Escamilla was fatally shot. Another man was also injured but survived.
Police have not disclosed how McIntyre was linked to the crime, and further details surrounding the investigation remain unclear. Authorities have not ruled out the possibility of additional suspects or motives.
The investigation is ongoing, and officials urge anyone with information to come forward .
