Woman Hospitalized After Being Hit During Stolen Car Chase in LA

Los Angeles  (Thechieftainspear) – Los Angeles A police pursuit in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon resulted in two people being injured and at least one suspect taken into custody.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers initiated the chase around 1:52 p.m. after receiving a report of a stolen black Infiniti near Dorsey Street and 41st Place. Authorities confirmed that two individuals were inside the stolen vehicle when the pursuit began.

Just minutes later, around 1:55 p.m., emergency calls reported that a man and a woman had been injured during the pursuit in the area of Vernon and Central avenues in the Central Alameda neighborhood.

Police stated that the woman, who was walking at the time, was struck and transported to the hospital, though her condition remained unknown. As of Sunday evening, officials had not confirmed whether the injured man was a pedestrian or a suspect in the fleeing vehicle.

Video footage from the Citizen app captured the aftermath, showing the black Infiniti crashed through a residential fence beneath a tree. While authorities confirmed that one suspect had been taken into custody, they did not immediately disclose whether the second occupant of the vehicle had been apprehended.

Further details on the injured individuals and the status of the second suspect remain unclear as the investigation continues.
