Social Security Payment Dates Changing for March 2025 – What to Know

(Thechieftainspear) – Social Security recipients will notice slight scheduling adjustments in March 2025 due to the way the calendar falls. Those receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) typically get their payments on the first of each month, but because March 1 lands on a Saturday, these payments will be issued earlier, on February 28.

For retirees and other Social Security beneficiaries, payment dates are determined by birthdates. Individuals who began receiving benefits before May 1997 will get their payments on March 3. Those with birthdays between the 1st and 10th will be paid on March 12, while those born from the 11th to the 20th can expect their deposits on March 19. Recipients with birthdays between the 21st and 31st will receive their payments on March 26.

If a payment does not arrive as expected, the Social Security Administration advises checking with your bank first before reaching out for further assistance .
