(Thechieftainspear) –Authorities are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run collision that left an elderly woman critically injured in North Hollywood last month.
The incident occurred on Feb. 22 near Basset Street and Coldwater Canyon Avenue, where a woman in her late 70s was struck by a pickup truck, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
At approximately 7:50 a.m., the driver made a left turn at the intersection, hitting the victim, surveillance footage revealed. In the video, a dog is seen running into the street moments after the impact.
Instead of stopping to assist, the driver sped away, leaving the injured woman behind. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and rushed her to the hospital with severe injuries.

LAPD is urging all drivers involved in accidents to immediately pull over, contact emergency services, and remain on-site to provide their information, as required by law.
Authorities are offering a $25,000 reward for any information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect.
