Hit-and-Run Driver Slams Into Cyclists Distributing ‘Red Cards’ in Boyle Heights

California (Thechieftainspear) – Authorities are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck multiple bicyclists during an event in Boyle Heights before fleeing the scene.

Shocking Collision Caught on Camera

The incident took place on February 25 near Mariachi Plaza, where a group of around 15 cyclists had gathered to distribute informational red cards—documents designed to help immigrants understand their rights when interacting with authorities.

Shortly before 8 p.m., a woman driving a sedan approached the group from behind and suddenly rammed into the cyclists, knocking several riders to the ground. Surveillance footage captured the terrifying moment.

“I was riding my bike one second, and the next thing I knew, I was on the pavement,” said one cyclist, who requested anonymity.

Bicyclists Injured as Driver Speeds Away

At least four riders were struck, and one victim was thrown onto the car’s windshield. As the suspect continued accelerating, some cyclists attempted to stop her by throwing their bikes at the vehicle, but she drove through the crowd.

“The side of her car flew right past my head,” one injured cyclist recalled. “Two of the riders got a look at her—a white woman with a shaved head. They said she seemed upset and distracted, possibly on her phone.”

The most seriously injured victim suffered head trauma and bleeding and was rushed to the emergency room. Others reported knee injuries, difficulty walking, and numbness in their limbs.

Police Searching for Suspect

A police report has been filed, and the group was able to capture a clear image of the suspect’s car—a 2016 Kia sedan with the license plate 8GAN606.

It remains unclear if the attack was deliberate, but the cyclists hope justice is served soon.

“There’s no excuse for reckless driving, especially when we were obeying all traffic laws and wearing safety gear,” one rider said.
