La Habra (Thechieftainspear) – Authorities have arrested a 44-year-old man in connection with the deadly shooting of a 15-year-old boy in La Habra last month.
Incident Details
The shooting occurred in the early hours of Feb. 22 on the 700 block of East Lambert Road. Officers from the La Habra Police Department responded to reports of gunfire around 12:20 a.m. and discovered the teenager suffering from a gunshot wound.
Emergency responders transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Due to his juvenile status, officials have not released his identity.
Suspect Apprehended
Following an investigation by homicide detectives, authorities identified Michael Sanchez, 44, as the suspected shooter. On March 6, Sanchez was arrested and formally charged with murder, along with a gang enhancement.

While investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the shooting, a motive has not yet been determined.
