(Thechieftainspear) – The anticipation continues for Jackie and Shadow’s third eaglet, though signs of progress are emerging.
A pip—a small crack in the eggshell made by the eaglet inside—has expanded, as seen in footage from the Big Bear nest.

According to Sandy Steers, executive director of Friends of Big Bear Valley, the pip was first noticed on Thursday. The hatching process typically takes between 24 and 48 hours, based on information from the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy.
Once the eaglet fully emerges, it will join its two older siblings, who are already being cared for and fed by Jackie and Shadow. Despite snowy conditions, the dedicated eagle parents continue to keep their young ones warm while awaiting the new arrival .
