Missing Toddler Alert: SoCal Authorities Hunt for Abducted Child

Los Angeles(Thechieftainspear) – Authorities and concerned family members are searching for a 1-year-old boy who has been missing since March 8 and is believed to have been taken by his mother.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has identified the missing child as James Astuto and his mother as 35-year-old Stephanie Monique Ramos. The two were last seen in Bassett, an unincorporated area of L.A. County, near the 2000 block of Dela Street.

Law enforcement officials have classified their disappearance as a “critical missing persons” case, indicating urgent concerns for their safety.

Ramos is described as being 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing approximately 155 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Her son, James, is about 3 feet tall and weighs 30 pounds. He has brown hair and striking blue eyes. Officials have not provided details on what clothing they were last seen wearing.

Family members, who have not been able to reach Ramos since her disappearance, fear for the well-being of both mother and child. However, details regarding her legal custody status over James have not been disclosed.

Authorities use the term “critically missing” for cases where individuals may be victims of crime, in danger due to medical or mental health concerns, or abducted—especially in parental abduction situations.
