Popular Stroller Accessory Recalled After Injuries to Multiple Children

(Thechieftainspear) – Parenting comes with its challenges, but modern accessories aim to make things easier—until they don’t. A popular baby product designed to keep little ones cool during summer has just been recalled due to safety concerns.

If you’ve ever spent a hot day outside, you’ve probably noticed small clip-on fans attached to strollers. While they seem like a brilliant way to keep kids comfortable, they also pose risks. Unfortunately, those concerns have become a reality, as thousands of these fans are now being recalled due to injuries caused by exposed blades.

Which Stroller Fans Are Being Recalled in 2025?

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the recall of more than 33,000 Nuby Stroller Fans, model 25138, manufactured by Luv n’ care. The recall, issued on March 6, 2025, warns that the fan’s housing does not fully protect fingers from the blades, creating a risk of lacerations for small children.

Where Were the Affected Fans Sold?

The recalled fans, which retail for approximately $15, were available at major retailers including Target, Baby Express, Burlington Coat Factory, and Unique Photo. They were also sold online through Amazon and the official Nuby website between May 2024 and June 2024.

What Led to the Recall?

The recall follows seven reported incidents of children reaching into the fan and coming into contact with the blades, resulting in six cases of lacerations. Given the risk, the manufacturer has decided to pull the product from the market to prevent further injuries.

What Should You Do If You Own One?

If you have a recalled Nuby Stroller Fan, stop using it immediately. Consumers can contact Luv n’ care to arrange for a free replacement. The company is providing further instructions on how to return the product safely .
