4 Ventura County Suspects Arrested in Gang-Related Group Assault

Ventura County(Thechieftainspear) –  Authorities have arrested three individuals, including two teenagers, in connection with a gang-related attack in Fillmore.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspects as 24-year-old Joel Alonzo of Fillmore and two juveniles, ages 16 and 17.

The incident occurred on March 7 when deputies were alerted to a large fight involving 15 to 20 people on the 800 block of Edison Lane around 5 p.m. By the time law enforcement arrived, those involved had already fled. Investigators determined that the suspects had ties to a local street gang and found probable cause to pursue arrests.

At approximately 6:14 p.m. that evening, authorities located four individuals believed to be involved. When deputies attempted to approach, the group scattered. Alonzo and one of the juvenile suspects were quickly taken into custody, while the other two ran into nearby orchards.

A coordinated search effort followed, involving multiple sheriff’s units, including aerial support. At 6:52 p.m., one of the fleeing juveniles was discovered hiding under a chicken coop and was taken into custody. The fourth suspect managed to evade capture due to dense vegetation and difficult terrain, according to officials.
