Los Angeles(Thechieftainspear) – A T-Mobile store in Los Angeles sustained significant structural damage on Sunday after a broken fire hydrant sent water flooding into the building.
The Los Angeles City Fire Department received a call just before 3 p.m. about a truck crashing into a hydrant at the intersection of West Nordhoff Street and Sepulveda Boulevard. Authorities later confirmed the crash was a hit-and-run incident.
Video footage captured water shooting high into the air from the hydrant, with torrents pouring onto the roof of a nearby one-story commercial building housing the T-Mobile store. Fire officials reported that the large volume of water compromised the building’s structural integrity.

Inside the store, water flooded the floors, submerging phone display tables. Videos shared online showed ceiling panels and electrical wires collapsing, while external footage revealed large cracks running along the structure, causing part of the roof to cave in.
The Los Angeles Police Department responded to the scene and requested additional units for crowd control.
In a statement, T-Mobile assured that all employees and customers were safe. The company temporarily closed the store and directed customers to nearby locations on Devonshire & Sepulveda and Van Nuys & Chase St.
Authorities reported no injuries in connection with the incident.
