Law enforcement officials are searching for a suspect after a man was found with a gunshot wound to the face inside an abandoned industrial building in Orange County on Wednesday morning.
Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call for medical assistance around 6:35 a.m. at a vacant property near Cerritos Avenue and Magnolia Street in Stanton.

A passerby discovered the injured man, who authorities say is unhoused, and called for help. By the time deputies arrived, the shooter had already fled the scene.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Detectives are actively investigating the incident, though no suspect information has been released at this time.
