Orange County(Thechieftainspear) – A man suspected of robbing a Seal Beach bank and making threats toward employees was taken into custody on Wednesday morning.
Authorities identified the suspect as 43-year-old Thomas Crampton of Anaheim.
The incident took place just after 9 a.m. at a Chase Bank located on the 800 block of Pacific Coast Highway. According to police, Crampton entered the bank and demanded cash while allegedly threatening harm to employees. Fearing for their safety, the workers handed over an undisclosed amount of money before Crampton fled on foot.
Law enforcement officers quickly responded to the scene and launched a search for the suspect. With assistance from Seal Beach Marine Safety Lifeguards, an Orange County Sheriff’s Department bloodhound, and officers from both the Hawthorne and Torrance Police Departments, Crampton was located about half a mile from the bank and taken into custody.

He was booked into Orange County Jail on charges of robbery and parole violation.
Seal Beach Police Chief Michael Henderson praised the swift response of officers and the collaboration between multiple agencies, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in maintaining public safety.
