Los Angeles(Thechieftainspear) – A deadly exchange of gunfire in downtown Los Angeles early Sunday morning left one man dead, authorities said.
The shooting took place around 4:30 a.m. near the intersection of 6th and San Pedro streets, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers responding to the scene discovered a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, including injuries to his face. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released, pending notification of his family.

Investigators believe the victim and another individual were involved in a shootout before the suspect fired the fatal shots and fled. The LAPD has not yet provided a description of the suspect.
Authorities have not determined if the incident was gang-related. No further details were immediately available.
Police warned that the ongoing investigation may cause traffic disruptions in the area, though it is unclear how long delays will last.
