High-Speed Pursuit of Stolen Truck Leads to Violent Long Beach Pileup

Los Angeles (Thechieftainspear) – A dangerous police pursuit that spanned multiple cities in Los Angeles County came to a chaotic end Friday afternoon, as authorities chased down a suspect in a stolen white pickup truck.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) initiated the pursuit at approximately 2:40 p.m. in South Los Angeles, after spotting the stolen vehicle.

Reckless Driving and Multiple Collisions

The suspect led officers on a high-speed chase, weaving through traffic in Whittier, Downey, Norwalk, and Lakewood, at times exceeding 80 mph. Witnesses reported the driver recklessly crashing into multiple vehicles and nearly hitting pedestrians along the way.

In Long Beach, aerial footage captured the suspect sideswiping several cars before running a red light at the intersection of East 7th Street and Termino Avenue. The truck then plowed into two vehicles before flipping into a Sherwin-Williams parking lot.

Suspect Arrested After Attempted Escape

Following the final crash, the suspect climbed out of the wrecked truck and attempted to walk away casually. However, several officers quickly tackled and detained him on a nearby sidewalk.

Injuries and Investigation

Several people sustained injuries during the chase, including at least one innocent driver involved in the final crash. The suspect also appeared to be injured. Fortunately, none of the reported injuries were life-threatening.

Authorities are now conducting a thorough investigation across multiple crash sites in South Los Angeles County, as dozens of innocent drivers were affected by the suspect’s reckless actions.
