(Thechieftainspear) – Authorities in Riverside County have arrested a 19-year-old suspect following a violent shooting incident that left two individuals wounded in Lake Elsinore.
Incident Overview
The shooting took place in the early morning hours of March 22 on West Lakeshore Drive. Deputies responded to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon at approximately 12:30 a.m., where they discovered one victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The shooter had already fled the scene.
Shortly after, law enforcement received word that a second gunshot victim had arrived at a nearby hospital, prompting authorities to link the two cases.
Suspect Identification and Arrest
Through their investigation, detectives identified Kenyelo Centeno-Guzman, 19, of Lake Elsinore as the suspected shooter. On March 27, officers executed a search warrant at his residence, where they took him into custody for attempted murder and recovered a stolen firearm.

Additionally, Belica Guzman, 41, was also arrested at the scene. She is facing charges of evidence tampering, child endangerment, and obstructing law enforcement.
Legal Action and Investigation
Both suspects were booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center, with authorities indicating that gang-related enhancements may be added to the charges. However, details regarding a motive or the relationship between the suspect and victims have not been disclosed.

The Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station and Region 4 Gang Task Force emphasized their zero-tolerance approach toward gang-related crimes, stating that such offenses will be fully prosecuted.
