Riverside County(Thechieftainspear) – Authorities in Riverside County arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting that left one person hospitalized in late February.
The incident came to light on Feb. 26 when a gunshot victim arrived at a local hospital for treatment. The shooter had already fled by the time law enforcement was notified, leaving no immediate leads on the suspect’s whereabouts.
Detectives from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station launched an investigation and later identified 22-year-old Alexander Puentes-Rivera, a Palm Desert resident, as the suspected gunman.
A search warrant was executed at his residence, where law enforcement officers discovered multiple firearms, including ghost guns—unserialized firearms that are often difficult to trace.
