Southern California(Thechieftainspear) – Authorities have discovered the body of a young male in Oxnard, believed to be that of a missing 13-year-old boy from the San Fernando Valley, officials confirmed.
Oscar Omar Hernandez was reported missing on March 30 after he failed to return home from a visit to a friend in Lancaster, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Concerned family members alerted authorities when they were unable to reach him.
The LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division took over the investigation and followed leads that pointed them to a wooded area near Harbor Boulevard in Oxnard.

During a press briefing, LAPD Chief of Detectives Alan Hamilton shared the latest developments.
“Sadly, we believe we have found the body of the missing juvenile we’ve been searching for over the past several days,” Hamilton said.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the identity of the deceased pending official identification, and the circumstances surrounding the discovery remain under investigation.
The case is ongoing as detectives work to determine what led to the teen’s disappearance and death. Anyone with information is urged to contact law enforcement.
