Los Angeles(Thechieftainspear) – Authorities in the Antelope Valley are looking into a violent altercation that took place just outside a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Station, where a man was injured, and gunfire rang out.
According to officials, deputies were dispatched to the 4400 block of Beech Avenue in response to an assault with a deadly weapon. The location, a barbershop, sits only about 30 feet from the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station property line.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered a man suffering from serious but non-life-threatening injuries. As they provided medical aid and awaited emergency responders, they learned that the victim had not been shot, but had instead been struck by a vehicle.

Authorities say that after the man was run over, a suspect standing nearby opened fire at the vehicle, discharging several rounds. Deputies later took the armed suspect into custody and recovered a firearm at the scene.
Investigators have not determined whether the vehicle intentionally struck the victim or if it was later hit by gunfire. Officials have not yet released the suspect’s identity.
