Montclair Shooting: Search Ongoing for Suspect After Man Found Injured

(Thechieftainspear) – Authorities are searching for a suspect linked to a late-night shooting in Montclair that left a man hospitalized in critical condition.

Montclair Police responded to reports of a shooting on the 5100 block of Bandera Street just after 10:25 p.m. on April 2. When officers arrived, they discovered an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was quickly transported to a nearby hospital and remains in critical condition, according to officials.

Investigators say the suspect, wanted on suspicion of attempted murder, fled the scene on foot before law enforcement arrived. He is described as a Black male, approximately 30 to 35 years old, standing around 6 feet tall and weighing roughly 200 pounds. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt.

No information has been released regarding what may have led to the shooting.

As the investigation continues, authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
