Orange County(Thechieftainspear) – Authorities seized hundreds of pounds of illegal substances and made several arrests during a large-scale drug raid at a Costa Mesa warehouse believed to be a center for distributing illicit cannabis and psychedelic drugs.
The Laguna Beach Police Department revealed on Friday that the April 1 operation was part of an ongoing investigation linked to a January raid at Cinder Box Smoke Shop. That earlier search, conducted at the end of January, led to multiple arrests and the confiscation of nearly 4 pounds of cannabis and psilocybin mushrooms, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Evidence recovered from the smoke shop helped investigators trace the source of the drugs to a Costa Mesa facility, which was confirmed to be involved in the illegal sale and distribution of controlled substances.

A joint task force involving multiple law enforcement agencies later carried out a search warrant at the suspected hub. During the raid, officers detained several individuals believed to be involved in the operation, though police have not yet released their names or the exact number of arrests.
In total, law enforcement confiscated approximately 451 pounds of cannabis-related products, including marijuana flower, THC-infused edibles, and concentrates. An additional 54 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms were also recovered, including packaged items such as chocolate bars, microdose candies, and whole mushrooms.
The investigation remains active, and police say charges related to the illegal distribution of controlled substances are expected.
The Laguna Beach Police Department continues to encourage community members to report suspicious behavior or potential drug activity.
