Amber Alert Issued for 9-Month-Old Baby Abducted in Southern California

Southern California(Thechieftainspear) – Southern California authorities are on high alert after a 9-month-old baby was reportedly abducted in Anaheim on Sunday afternoon, prompting the California Highway Patrol to issue an Amber Alert that evening.

The alert, issued on behalf of the Anaheim Police Department, is for baby Leonardo Meza, who was last seen around 4:45 p.m. on April 6 near the area of West Crescent Avenue and North Loara Street in Anaheim.

Leonardo is described as a Hispanic infant, approximately one foot tall and weighing around 20 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Investigators have named 30-year-old Robert Castillo Meza as the suspect in the abduction. While his relationship to the child has not been confirmed, authorities are urging the public to be on the lookout. Robert is described as a Hispanic man standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 180 pounds, also with brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen driving a tan 2003 Mercedes-Benz AMG with California license plate number 8HJV603. Authorities believe the vehicle may be connected to the abduction.

The Amber Alert was broadcast across multiple counties, including Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Imperial.

Anyone who sees the suspect, the child, or the vehicle is urged to immediately call 911 .
