21-Year-Old Man Stabbed to Death, Juvenile Arrested in SoCal Incident

Orange County(Thechieftainspear) – Authorities in Orange County have arrested a juvenile suspect in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old man at an apartment complex in Mission Viejo earlier this week.

The incident took place just before 2 p.m. on April 9 at the Mosaic Apartment complex on the 27000 block of Camden, according to a statement from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department shared on social media.

Deputies responded to the scene after a family member discovered the victim, identified as Cristopher Bahenbaylon, bleeding on a couch inside his apartment. When law enforcement arrived, they found Bahenbaylon suffering from a stab wound to his chest and immediately attempted life-saving efforts. Emergency personnel from the Orange County Fire Authority soon arrived but were unable to revive him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following the discovery, investigators quickly established a perimeter around the area and began searching for clues. Evidence collected at the apartment complex led authorities to identify a juvenile male—also a resident of the complex—as a possible suspect.

KTLA video footage from the scene showed a strong law enforcement presence, with deputies speaking to two women who appeared to live in the complex. Another individual was seen seated in the back of a sheriff’s patrol vehicle, though officials have not confirmed whether that person was the arrested teen.

Following interviews and a review of the physical evidence, the juvenile was taken into custody and booked into Orange County Juvenile Hall. His identity has not been released due to his age, and authorities have not shared a potential motive for the killing.
