Los Angeles(Thechieftainspear) – A confrontation between two Los Angeles Police Department officers and a suspect in South Los Angeles led to a call for backup Thursday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. near the intersection of 74th Street and Broadway in the Florence area, according to LAPD officials.
During the altercation, both officers sustained minor injuries and were later transported to a hospital for evaluation, Sky5’s Gil Leyvas reported. Updates on their conditions have not yet been released.

The suspect involved in the altercation was apprehended at the scene and taken into custody without further incident.
As the investigation unfolded, authorities temporarily shut down Broadway between 73rd and 74th streets to secure the area and gather evidence.
