(Thechieftainspear) – An investigation into a fire that broke out in a Koreatown apartment building Sunday afternoon is focusing on possible arson, according to fire officials. The blaze, which left one woman with minor injuries, occurred inside a five-story apartment complex on North New Hampshire Avenue.
The Los Angeles Fire Department received reports of the fire just after 1 p.m. Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters observed heavy smoke emanating from a unit on the fourth floor of the building.

Fire crews swiftly initiated a coordinated attack on the flames, working to ventilate and contain the fire across multiple levels of the building. In total, 61 firefighters were deployed, and the blaze was brought under control in about 30 minutes.
One woman at the scene was treated for minor injuries and, though in fair condition, chose not to be transported to the hospital.
While the investigation into the cause of the fire continues, fire officials have indicated that arson is a primary suspicion. However, no additional details have been released at this time.
