Los Angeles (Thechieftainspear) – Law enforcement officials are urging the public to be vigilant as they search for a man who escaped from a Los Angeles reentry program facility on Saturday.
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) has identified the individual as 32-year-old Dijon Barber.
CDCR officials reported that they were notified around 11:30 a.m. that Barber had removed his GPS monitoring device. Following an immediate headcount, staff confirmed Barber was missing from the Male Community Reentry Program (MCRP) facility.
While authorities have not disclosed the exact details of Barber’s escape, they did confirm that he “walked away” from the facility.

Barber was last seen wearing a black and brown hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and black sandals. He is described as 6 feet tall, weighing 240 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Barber was admitted to the facility on March 18, 2024, after being sentenced to four years for first-degree robbery, theft from an elder/dependent adult, and grand theft person.
At this time, authorities have not provided information about Barber’s last known location.
