Authorities are searching for a suspect after a deadly stabbing in Canoga Park on Thursday night.
Los Angeles police responded to reports of an assault along the 8500 block of International Avenue around 9:19 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man lying on the sidewalk suffering from what was described as a sharp force injury. Paramedics arrived shortly after and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
According to investigators, the attack began when an unidentified man approached the victim on the sidewalk. A confrontation followed, escalating quickly into violence. The suspect allegedly stabbed the victim and then fled the area on foot.

The victim’s name has not been released pending notification of next of kin. Police are continuing to investigate and are actively working to identify and locate the suspect.
